We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.
Numerology is the study of numbers and the esoteric manner in which they universally reflect archetypes, character tendencies, traits, strengths, weaknesses and cycles. Each letter of the alphabet has a numeric value allowing you to map out the number behind your name (or anything else for that matter). There are several types of numbers including those that change by day and year but to begin, we’ll start with the six most important. Each number will always be added until it is a single digit unless it falls upon one of the master numbers which won’t be covered here. Be sure to fully graph out the process in order to see all the cycles and themes within the number as well as double checking, especially when charting your name.
Numbers Derived from Birthdates
Numbers based on your birth cover the lessons you are here to learn and teach. You’ll want to first write out your full birthdate. A chart isn’t necessary until discovering the numbers within a name. Add up the month, day and year separately before adding them together.
For example, if your birthday is March 24 1986:
3 + (2+4) + (1+9+8+6)
3 + 6 + 24
3 + 6 + 6 = 15
1 + 5 = 6
This would be your Life Path Number. The Life Path is the most important number to you as an individual. A name can change but a birthday cannot. In fact, many celebrities do change their names to manifest a particular number’s resonance into their life, personality, and career. The Life Path summarizes challenges, opportunities, lessons, themes, your purpose and your inherent traits.
The Birth Path also known as Birthday Number is derived from your day of birth, alone. Going back to the example birthdate above, March 24 1986, we would only look at the 24th this time, retrieving a 6. This number reveals a certain talent which will make its way into your Life Path.
Personal Year Numbers represent the energies and themes present during the specific calendar year. You would use the same steps you would for finding the Life Path except use the current year instead of the year you were born. So using the same birthday, March 24 1986 becomes March 24 2018 (or whatever year we’re in).
3 + (2+4) + (2+0+1+8)
3 + 6 + 11
3 + 6 + (1+1)
3 + 6 + 2 = 11
In this case we end up with the first of the Master Numbers but can narrow it down to a two. All Master Numbers carry the same meanings as the single digits found by adding them up but with extra bonuses.
Numbers Derived from the Name
Numbers based on names require a chart that supplies the numeric equivalent to each letter. I provided that below to make it easier but basically: 1 = A, J, S. 2 = B, K, T. 3 = C, L, U. 4 = D, M, V. 5 = E, N, W. 6 = F, O, X. 7 = G, P, Y. 8 = H, Q, Z. 9 = I, R.
The Expression Number is derived out of your full name as it is on your birth certificate. This number shows how we express ourselves, personality wise, which is why changed names can reflect in the way we project ourselves to the world. Adding each letter’s correct corresponding number up can be tricky and easy to mess up so you’ll want to go over this one at least twice. This is the second most important number in numerology. Again, like in the birth numbers, you’ll add your first name separately, then middle, then last before adding it all up together.
The Heart’s Desire Number represents your inner urgings and what makes you truly happy. This is found in only the vowels of your full name.
The Personality Number is the expression others have of you. This comes from the consonants in your full name.
