Healing the Crown Chakra
It is important to first work on the lower sixth chakras as the crown chakra is supplied by the others. The crown is related to all of the elements as well as with thought in particular. Meditative and spiritual practices, singing hymns, spiritual songs, prayer, chanting and group spiritual practices are all healthy ways to balance the seventh chakra. Visualize purple soothing energy while meditating. See it project from the top of your head. Envision white light pouring into the top of your head filling your body and connecting you to the world around you. Try picturing a violet lotus flower at the crown. Find guided meditations for the crown chakra as well as sitting in pure silence. Go somewhere in nature that awes you and reminds you of the vastness of the universe. Turn off the TV, radio and other electronics to hear and connect to the universe. Keep a dream journal and write out your dreams and imaginative thoughts. Try reiki healing for resolving blockages.
The sound of the crown chakra is “Om,” chant or hum this to a B-note at a frequency of 400-480 Hz (binaural beats online have specific themes and frequencies you can listen to and meditate to with headphones). Quiet contemplation and the affirmation “I Know” are also relative to balancing the crown chakra.
Yoga positions where your forehead touches the ground as well as seated postures work. For specific poses, try Padmasana Lotus Pose, Salamba Sirhasana Headstand, Savasana Corpse Pose, Matsyana Fish Pose and Virksasana Tree Pose. For reflexology healing, you can stimulate the crown by massaging the tips of the first through third fingers, and on the sole, the areas of the plantar on the big toe, brimming on the inner face opposite the second toe, clockwise. Chakra Mudras are hand positions that you can practice through the day or during meditation. For the crown, try Akash Mudra. Touch the tips of the middle fingers with the thumb while keeping the other fingers straight. Do this while chanting Om.
Crystals that balance the crown chakra include amethyst, white calcite, selenite, obsidian, clear quartz, sugilite, mangano pink calcite, moonstone, purple agate, diamond, lepidolite and sapphire.
Aromatherapy can aid in balancing chakras. Ease in a meditative state as the crown is related to thoughts. Diffuse incense or light a candle and focus on the flame. The essential oils for the crown consist of sandalwood, saffron, lotus, jasmine, lemon, frankincense, chamomile, helichrysum and rosemary.
I also provide tarot readings that can check in with the health of the crown chakra as well as a tarot spread that reviews the states of all the chakras. You can book a reading here!
